Dear Families,

Hello! Welcome to third grade! I am so excited to be looping with this wonderful class. We have had such an incredible year together. I have witnessed so much growth, and I am looking forward to even more next year.

I feel strongly that you know your child best, and I appreciate any feedback or suggestions that you feel will help me provide the best environment possible for him/her. If there is an issue at home, no matter how big or small, that you would like to share with me, please do not ever hesitate to call or email me. I do prefer email, and I check it multiple times per day. I will also check it all summer long. You can email me at jdaron@londonderry.org.  If you do email me, and you do not hear back from me within 24 hours, please re-send it or call me, as occasionally emails do not come through for one reason or another.

If you are interested in being a classroom volunteer, please email me. I love having a parent come in once a week to do copying for me. This can only be done during the learners’ special time, which is from 11:00-12:00. I may need volunteers for other things as the year progresses. If you will be available to come in on a regular basis, please let me know.

Your child will be prepared for 3rd grade if s/he brings in the following items:

  • 1 pencil box labeled in Sharpie with your child's name (like this one)Sterilite Pencil Box
  • 1 pair of headphones (for iReady) packed in a freezer bag labeled with your child’s name
  • 2 or more Expo markers (please do not send in generic dry erase markers due to the strong odor- we have no windows in our classroom.) Thank you!!!!
  • a spiral bound notebook
  • if your child would like to have a new one inch binder for writing-otherwise he/she can keep the one he/she currently has.

I always welcome donations of tissues, paper towels, Wet Ones, and baby wipes. Wet Ones  are my favorite to clean with.

Thank you in advance for your help with keeping unnecessary materials and toys at home.

If you have any questions, please email or call me. I am always happy to hear from you. I hope you have a wonderful summer.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  Very Sincerely,

Jodi Daron
