Supporting Your Child

The best way to support your child is by communicating with him/her about their day. We all have good and bad days. Let me know as soon as possible if there is anything I can help you with. At the beginning of the school year, expect your child to be tired as they are building stamina for a full school day.

Please read any and all notices and newsletters that go home in your child's folder. Folders should be checked daily. This will help your child be prepared for their day. First graders tend to get very upset when they don't have what they need for the day.

Please dress the children appropriately for the weather as we will be outside as often as possible, weather permitting. Please label backpacks, lunchboxes, snowpants...with your child's name in the event items are misplaced.

I do welcome parent volunteers in the classroom. Parent volunteers work directly with the children reviewing math problems, guiding a small group, and helping with clerical tasks. Please let me know if you are interested in volunteering in the classroom.
